2. Information we collect
When you visit this website
Our hosting provider may automatically record technical information sent by your browser in server log files. This may include your IP address, browser and operating-system type, referring page, requested pages, date and time of access, and similar connection data. We use this information to deliver the website securely, diagnose technical problems, and protect our systems from misuse.
This processing is based on our legitimate interest in providing a secure and reliable website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Log data is retained only for as long as it is needed for security and operational purposes, unless a longer period is required to investigate an incident or comply with law.
When you contact us
If you email us or use our contact form, we process the information you provide—such as your name, email address, support category, system details, message, screenshots, and video links—to answer your request. Contact form submissions and attachments are sent to our support mailbox; uploaded screenshots are not published on this website. Where your enquiry relates to a contract or steps before entering one, processing is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. For other enquiries, it is based on our legitimate interest in communicating with users and providing support (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We keep correspondence only as long as necessary to handle the request and meet applicable legal record-keeping requirements.
When you start Premium checkout
We ask for your licensee name, email address, and the Hardware ID copied from Audio-RefMatch. When you continue to checkout, our server saves these details as a license request. Your email address is sent to Paddle to prefill payment checkout, together with a reference to that request. If payment is confirmed by a verified Paddle notification, we add the transaction ID to the request. A request can remain in our database if checkout is canceled or fails. Paddle collects any additional billing information in its payment checkout. The current checkout uses Paddle's sandbox for test payments; automatic license delivery is not yet available.
3. Cookies and local storage
This website may use technically necessary cookies to provide core functionality, maintain security, or remember essential settings. These cookies are not used for advertising or cross-site profiling. You can configure your browser to notify you about cookies, refuse them, or delete stored cookies. Blocking essential cookies may prevent parts of the website from working correctly.
4. Google Fonts
To display consistent typography, this site loads fonts from Google Fonts, a service provided by Google. When your browser requests these files, technical connection data, including your IP address, is transmitted to Google. We use Google Fonts in our legitimate interest in presenting the website clearly and consistently (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Depending on your location, data may be processed outside the European Economic Area. More information is available in Google’s Privacy Policy.
5. How we use and share information
We use personal information only to operate and secure the website, respond to enquiries, provide requested support, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell or rent personal data.
Data may be processed by service providers that help us host and operate the website or deliver email. We share information only to the extent necessary for those services, where required by law, or where you have given consent.
6. External websites
Our website may link to websites and services operated by third parties. We do not control their content or privacy practices. When you follow an external link, the privacy policy of that provider applies.
7. Your data-protection rights
Subject to the conditions set out by applicable law, you may request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of your personal data. You may also have the right to data portability and to object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where processing relies on consent, you can withdraw that consent at any time for the future.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a competent data-protection supervisory authority. In Baden-Württemberg, this is the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information.
8. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards designed to protect personal information against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, loss, or destruction. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our website, services, or legal obligations change. The current version and its revision date will always be published on this page.
10. Contact
